Began his radio career in his hometown of Lafayette, LA at 15 years old. It began a radio and television career that after graduating high school, would take him through such radio markets as Beaumont, TX. - Tulsa, OK. - New Orleans, LA. - Boston, MA - Baton Rouge, LA - Shreveport, LA and even syndication into a number of markets from his flagship station in Ft. Walton Beach/Destin, FL to markets in the southeastern United States.
Wakeman, has been seen and heard on such programs as ABC’s “Good Morning America” NBC Nightly News, ABC World News Tonight, Fox News, CNN, and has been written about in newspapers around the world as a result of not only stunts he has pulled off on the air, but also stories he has broken at radio and TV stations around the country.
Wakeman Edwards returned home to Lafayette in October 2008 and opened his film production company, GRAVEN IMAGE PRODUCTIONS, which he still operates today. It would not be long before radio stations would call upon him to return to his radio roots including one of the stations he worked at during his early days as a radio personality, 1330 am KVOL.
Wakeman brings with him a rich understanding of not only Acadiana, but his home town of Lafayette to the table each and every morning Monday through Friday from 6 am till 8 am with an entertaining look at the political picture not only on the national stage, but the state and local area as well.
